The CG Supervisor, in
collaboration with the Team Leads and Studio Manager determines the technical
approach needed to achieve the desired look and behavior of assets using
computer graphics.
The CG Supervisor works with the Producers to estimate project schedules and
monitor project progress while ensuring that the assets are created,
constructed, and structured to look the way the Creative team and Clients have
determined. They are also responsible for all assets to function and move
efficiently, throughout all the departments across the entire pipeline.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Technical and creative head of all 2d and 3d
operations, responsible for coordinating the efforts of 2d and 3d personnel as
creatively, efficiently, and effectively as possible.

Responsible for the task management and
supervision of the Team Leads.
·
Identify, define, prioritize, and implement
specific creative and production workflow process steps which will enhance the
artist’s tools.
·
In conjunction with the team leads, responsible
for the leadership of Artists in the production departments.
·
Keep up on current technology trends and tools
(hardware and software) that best suit the projects (and the company) in the
development of a stronger creative technical environment. Establish new
creative/technical workflow ideas and efficiencies while standardizing/automating
repetitive functions which don’t add creative value. Identify specific workflow
steps where automation would remove labor hours.

Create, develop, and build consensus between
Technology, Artists, and Production Management to assist the Clients to realize
their vision.

Work with Account Manager(s) & Sales team to
formulate bids and time lines for projects.

Develop a strategy for the successful
integration of the studio’s skills/resources by implementing hardware and
software and workflow solutions that best suit the needs of the projects.

Help to develop and implement training programs
to enhance skill sets within departments.
·
Work with Studio Manager to define recruiting
goals to achieve the appropriate balance of qualified personnel.

Successfully manage the day-to-day project needs
in a manner that instills trust and confidence from the Producer(s), Resource
Specialist, and Studio Manager. This should include an effective process for
communicating required staffing changes and judgments with some mechanism for
planning, forecasting (and ultimately delivering on) potential staffing
scenarios for anticipated work.

Work with Technology, and Management to define
and produce development goals. These goals should be based on the Creative, the
pipeline, and workflow of the departments.
