Render Wrangler and I/O

Description

Duties include monitoring and load balancing of the render farm. Assisting artists with error jobs, and assisting in the day-to-day maintenance of the render farm.

Monitor the I/O of data across various file systems and initiate data moves to allocate disk space. Other responsibilities include managing Aspera and FTP turnovers from multiple locations and external vendors.

Job Duties & Responsibilities Include (But not limited to):

·      Render Farm Management – Willing to work Night Shifts

·      Monitor and Load Balance the render farm

·      Detect and trouble-shoot failed jobs

·      Keep the render farm running at maximum capacity

·      Monitor render farm I/O utilization

·      Monitor/Diagnose and resolve malfunctioning farm hosts

·      Monitor software license utilization on the farm

·      Provide rendering support to artists

·      Monitor render blades / disk catches – clean ups where necessary
