Lead Object/Outsourcing Artist
Description
CCP North America is looking for a talented individual to be a part of the creative team working on the groundbreaking MMO title, World of Darkness. This particular opening requires that the candidate be motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and has the ability to work well with a cross-disciplinary group.
The Lead Object Artist will work directly with the Art Director and other art leads to help drive the content creation of a modern urban environment and wide variety of characters and clothing assets. As the leader of our outsourcing efforts, they will need to be able to manage a cross discipline team to develop a productive relationship with external partners to provide high quality and performant art. The Lead Object Artist will need to collaborate closely with engineering, design, and the other art disciplines to develop workflows and pipelines to get work prepped, reviewed, and integrated in game.
Major responsibilities include:
- Lead and mentor the internal art outsourcing team on a day-to-day basis
- Work closely with the art and tech teams to ensure consistency between the concept, requirements, and final assets
- Establish and maintain the production requirements to enforce both technical and aesthetical coherence
- Finalize and/or produce assets both for in-game use and for visual target purposes
- Create outsourcing documentation and communicate requirements to outsourcing partners
- Monitor the quality & consistency of outsourced production
