Description
FVM Strategic
Communications, a full-service integrated marketing agency specializing in
business-to-business clients, is seeking a talented Web Developer with Server
Administrative experience who can hit the ground running as a member of a
rapidly growing web department within our Plymouth-Meeting, PA-based company.
This is a position within a fast paced, deadline-driven environment. It demands strong organizational,
multi-tasking and project management skills in the development of integrated
client solutions that include websites, landing pages, emails, online
advertising, and other web-related work.
Duties and Responsibilities
Due to our
full-service nature for everything and anything web, a broad range of
experience is required.
Programmer / Developer
·
Familiarity
and ability to code in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP languages
·
Ability
to troubleshoot and problem solve coding and server issues
·
Development
of customized features on out-of-the box or open source content management
systems
·
Experience
in developing programs that integrate with social media platforms
·
Experience
in developing applications and web systems that integrate with native mobile
apps
·
Ability to go beyond basic development to make
something not only functional, but user-friendly
·
Experience in developing dynamic registration
portals and/or the collection of data online
Server Administrator
·
Knowledgeable
in administering dedicated servers and databases, domain setups, managing
multisite DNS records, etc.
·
Managing
and maintaining various PHP, ASP, and other environments
·
Knowledgeable
in email administration, setup, migration
·
Ability
to set up test servers or virtualized ASP and PHP environments
·
Ability
to monitor all websites under our jurisdiction and be able to report on system
status, performance, etc.
Other Skills
·
Ability to write project specifications and
scope of work documents
·
Organized, able to handle many domains, servers,
admin passwords, etc.
·
Ability to translate technical jargon to
non-technical clients, including the training of clients on using content
management software
·
Knowledge of email-based development, CRM
applications, email campaign standards, etc.
·
A keen attention to detail in all aspects of
work and development
·
Experience in search engine optimization and
online marketing/strategy, pay-per-click a plus
Languages
& Programs
·
Experienced in all programming languages,
specifically PHP, MySQL, C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and the
Document object model
·
SQL Server 2005 database administration and
stored procedures
·
Experience with content management systems such
as Wordpress and DotNetNuke
·
Familiarity of web tracking software,
specifically Google Analytics and WebTrends
·
Knowledge in iOS and XCode a plus
