Animation Program Coordinator

Description

Under the direction of the Director of iacc (www.detaoma.com/iacc), the Program Coordinator supervises the day- to-day coordination and implementation of the SIVA-DeTao Joint Undergraduate Animation Program (30 students) as well as maintaining a personal teaching schedule. The position requires a solid overall knowledge of the animation production process and the ability to engage with both Chinese and English speaking faculty.

The Program Coordinator should be prepared to implement global instructional methods and have an enthusiastic commitment to creative, flexible and innovative solutions to learning challenges.           

 Responsibilities.

 •      Coordinate the SIVA-DeTao Animation Program’s course curriculum and implementation

 •      Moderate regular departmental meetings to review overall progress and horizontal coordination of the Program.

 •      Monitor the instructional process of each course and provide feedback and advise to all faculty.

 •      Provide regular feedback to the Director of iacc.

 •     Teach 15 hours of core instruction in lecture and workshop formats in conjunction with SIVA faculty members.

 *     Monitor the work of the teaching assistants and ensure their ongoing mentorship to the students.

 •     Monitor student progress     and provide student advisement.

 •      Oversee the recruitment process as well as the placement of students on graduation.
