BioLucid, a developer of immersive 3D software, mobile games/sims and
a revolutionary medical visualization product, is seeking a highly experienced,
motivated, and knowledgeable Sr. Developer to work under the direction of our CTO to help lead our development team in their artistic and tech-art
efforts in our Sarasota, FL studio.
BioLucid is a stable and expanding global company, and industry
leader in a sector just beginning to hit the mainstream. Interest in
science, health, anatomy, and a desire to help communicate concepts visually,
is a must.

Sr.
Developer Job Purpose:
Execute and oversee the development of applications for the
company, technical solutions in company production pipeline. Work with the art
team to execute technical aspects of projects. Write technical documentation
for the company. Maintain and update company code base, manage technical
personnel and monitor their tasks with assistance of the producer.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Developer will:
Embrace
BioLucid’s Guiding Principles
Write computer program code used in software
applications produced by the company.
Manage, supervise and track the progress of code
written by all company employed or contracted programmers.
Work with studio producer and offshore manager
to create and coordinate programmer schedules, milestones and track progress
weekly.
Periodically review and critique, as necessary, code
of all programmers and assess quality and readability.
Report directly to President/CTO on programmer
progress and status weekly.
Maintain a repository of all source code and
assets needed to build all completed software applications.
Create technical design documents as required
for new projects.
Attend weekly studio production meetings and Ops
calls.
Keep Asset Management System up and running for
the studio and new users as required.
Supervise IT tasks that involve programmers, as
required.
Help with IT tasks when needed and in emergency
situations.
Work with tech artists. Help and mentor them as needed.
Identify programming personnel needs and
coordinate new hires with HR.
Participate in the selection and screening of
programming interns as well as mentor and teach those in studio
Help identify and assess new and emerging
technologies and create programming experiments to use them as time allows.
Help maintain a positive, happy work environment
for everyone in the studio.
Requirements
B.S.
in Computer Science; will consider equivalent experience.
Minimum
5 years’ experience using Unity, C# and JavaScript
Minimum
5- 7 years of experience as a Programmer/Lead
Experience teaching tech/scripting/programming
skills
Coaching
and process improvement skills
Experience working with interns teaching applied
programming techniques and principles Commitment

Excellent
leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Must be
