Tools Engineer
Description
Battlecry Studios is seeking a qualified Tools Engineer to help create
and maintain production tools for an online title. The initial focus of
the candidate will be the maintenance of art pipeline and level editor
tools. As a tool engineer, the scope of the candidate’s
responsibilities will extend to other game systems (including both
server and client) as required. The successful candidate will
understand how all data taken from artists and designers is compiled and
used by both the client and server to make a great game. The candidate
should also know the working pipelines of both artists and designers
and ensure those pipelines are as streamlined and efficient as possible.
Key Responsibilities

Works with other engineers to architect, implement, and maintain a complete pipeline for data from tools into the game

Works closely with artists and designers to ensure pipelines are efficient and easy to use

Writes clear, maintainable, portable code

Accurately estimates his/her schedules and delivers high quality work products to that schedule
