Instructor of Electronic Media, non-tenure track

Description

The Ohio University Lancaster Campus is seeking candidates for a non-tenure track position of Instructor of Electronic Media to begin August 26, 2013.  The chosen applicant will be expected to maintain a successful record in the areas of teaching, advising and campus service. Teaching load is 24 semester hours or equivalent per academic year in Electronic Media with a focus on multimedia technologies including audio and video production for interactive web development and other related courses.  The successful applicant will be expected to provide leadership in curricula development and program marketing, as well as have a willingness to engage in purchasing and implementing new technologies, and student team project supervision of multi-media projects and productions.  Additional duties may include, but not limited to: recruiting, recommending and supervising/mentoring of adjunct faculty; and coordinating advisory committee activities.  The candidate will be responsible for fulfilling the duties associated with “Program Coordinator,” such as academic advising and supervising and assisting with job placement of graduates.
