SYNOPSIS           

SHL, the CEB Talent Measurement Solution, is the leading global provider of psychometrics and consulting solutions.  The Simulations, Animation, and Multimedia (SAM) team plays a pivotal role in the ongoing delivery of client solutions through a range of standard and custom multimedia service offerings, including video, animation, and interactive technologies.  These solutions enable our clients to evaluate candidates for hiring, promotion, and/or training purposes in an engaging format.

The Lead Animator will work under the direction of the Animation Production Manager to guide a team of animators (internal staff and external contractors) to deliver large-scale, 3D animation projects in a fast-paced production environment.

PURPOSE OF JOB

1. Assist in the design and development of 3D animations from concept to post-production, including characters, props, environments, motions, interactions, lighting, sound, facial and lip-sync.  
2. Provide accurate production schedules and timelines, including resource and cost estimates.
3. Plan effective resource utilization for animation projects including effective assignment of animation tasks to animators, and supervise and evaluate their work.
4. Coordinate, track, and manage the activities of animators to ensure project tasks are completed on time, within scope, and at high quality level.
5. Identify and address/escalate animation, software, or project issues/defects that may impede success.
6. Provide and maintain production efficiencies including learning and teaching new tools and techniques.
