3D/VFX Technical Associate
Description
The purpose of this position is designed to aid the 3D production team by developing pipeline tools that make their work easier and faster. Where possible, you will also work to improve the quality of the 3D production team by writing tools that make their jobs easier or give them access to functionality that wasn't present before. Part of your time will be devoted to testing, maintaining current code and writing documentation for new or current tools. The general cycle will be:
- define what's required
- develop plan of attack
- attack
- test while developing
- seek feedback during development
- test on all platforms
- roll out version 1
- make immediate revisions
- roll out version 1.2
- document new tool
- maintain new features as required and update documentation to reflect new features
In addition to developing tools for the 3D department, you will occasionally be pulled to assist the Tools Dev. Dept with other tasks for other departments. However, your immediate and long-term focus are to the 3D team.
