Lighting Technical Director - Maya

As a Lighiting Technical Director, you will join a team of experienced and creative experts to initiate, conceptualize, and specify new features for Autodesk Media & Entertainment products. Building on your industry experience, you will gather user requirements from customers and translate those needs into clear and achievable specifications that optimize product usefulness and customer satisfaction.

Job Title: Lighting Technical Director-Maya/12WD1251
Location: Toronto, Canada

• Design and validate key lighting and API features for Autodesk Maya
• Work with the product management team to analyze customer requirements and propose solutions to be developed
• Act as a customer advocate while working with the development team to balance ROI and available project resources to obtain an optimal solution
• Research and validate requirements through focus groups, customer visits and market research
• Prototype and validate proposed designs with customers and product development
• Create and document detailed design specifications that are consumable by the Product Development, Quality Assurance and Technical Publications teams
• Ensure consistency of the user interface and application workflows
• Review, interpret and document defects related to new feature developments
• Review end user documentation relating to new features
• Train other internal stakeholders on new workflows and functionality
• Maintain familiarity with competitive products
