Six Foot is an independent digital agency in Houston seeking an experienced Digital Producer to join our team. We do great work for high-profile clients and we expect great things from Six Footers. We’re a unique agency where the suits, the geeks, and everyone in between, work in tandem to create groundbreaking digital experiences for our clients. The things we create go well beyond the banner.
A quick trip through the Six Foot offices in Houston or Los Angeles and you’ll see folks working on animation for online videos, designing wireframes for a website, writing code for a mobile game, pitching our capabilities to a potential client, and playing a little badminton in between. We are very serious about our work without taking ourselves too seriously.
We try to surround ourselves with people who are smarter than we are. We need a producer who is proactive, seriously organized and detailed oriented. You will be expected to bring new ideas to the table—great ideas come from every corner of Six Foot.
As our Digital Producer, you will be the glue that holds our work together. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of development efforts our projects. This includes project planning, developing requirements documents and technical product specifications, managing project budgets, scheduling and managing cross functional resources, developing and fostering a strong and reliable outsourcing/contractor network, translating client requirements into formal agreements and plans concluding in the client’s acceptance of the project deliverables. Things move very quickly around here and you’ll be working on a number of projects, spanning any number of clients and industries, so you’ll need to be able to switch gears mid-sentence and stay focused and professional.
We need someone who will take ownership of each project, steward it from kick off to completion, all the while building a relationship of trust between the agency and client and fostering financial growth within accounts.
Some of the tasks with which you’ll be entrusted:
• Developing project plans and manage the cost, scope, schedule and quality for a project from beginning to end.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
• Work with Creative and Sales to assist in the creation of requirement documents to develop high quality, strategic solutions based no client needs.
• Proactively manage, track and communicate changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans as needed.
• Identifying resources within the agency to assign individual responsibilities
• Develop and foster an external resource pool and properly manage/negotiate with out-of-house resources.
• Coach, mentor and motivate the production team members and contractors to lead them to a quality successful project deliverable.
• Build, develop and grow all business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and senior management in a timely and clear fashion
• Maintaining status records and conducting regularly scheduled meetings
• Finalizing projects upon completion, making sure all files are properly stored and invoices are submitted
• Keeping up with trends and changes in our industry, our clients’ industries and in technology
• Allowing yourself to laugh, even when a certain item hits the fan.
