(TTWO) seeks an experienced Database Administrator to join the ongoing development and growth of the online operations of its critically-acclaimed sports franchises. The successful candidate will bring prior experience in building, deploying, maintaining, optimizing, monitoring and growing mission-critical database architecture to ensure optimal consumer experiences in online gaming, both here and globally. Responsibilities Own the databases, applying a deep understanding of how various components interact, exchange, consume and otherwise alter data for large scale online game operations. Serve as the primary driver of ongoing optimizations and be the gatekeeper of the databases moving forward, including reviewing new schemas used in development and reviewing all queries on the databases. Work closely with the server software engineering team to develop best practices and an organized protocol for altering the databases. Be responsible for monitoring retail databases on a daily basis to ensure the highest possible quality of service to the end users.
