Online Operations Technical Director

Description

This role is part of the Danger Close Operations team which is responsible for the smooth launch and ongoing running of online games produced at the studio. The Technical Director for the group is a senior position accountable for the technical decisions and planning that make or break the quality of our online games.

Key responsibilities
• Works with the EA Online IT and Services groups to design, build and test a stable server infrastructure for our online titles.
• Works with the game teams to ensure that the games being developed are suitable for the Operations group to manage after launch.
• Works with the web team to ensure that the tight integration between web and game runs smoothly.
• Monitors and works to improve the quality of the online experience throughout the life of our games.
• Ensures that updates and expansions to our games are delivered smoothly.
• Ensures that our games have suitable anti-cheat and anti-hack technology in place.
• Contributes to the company wide strategies around improving the online service aspects of our games.
