VANCOUVER IT Local Support Technician
Description
The local support technician would coordinate closely with IT staff at LDAC to provide support for all Pod users.
* Work with LDAC based technology departments (IT, GP, IS, R&D) on deployment of infrastructure for the Vancouver pod.
* Act as the technical triage point for all local issues reported by Vancouver staff, and escalate as needed to LDAC. To the extent possible, works to triage technical issues that may occur in tools outside of IT’s primary domain.
* Work with LDAC based Service Desk Staff and technology departments (IS, R&D, GP) to ensure that requests are routed to the correct group for resolution. Monitors issues with LDAC staff until resolved.
* Act as a point of contact for ensuring Vancouver staff is aware of general IT policy, and ensure end users are trained accordingly.
* Be responsible for all Vancouver based break / fix issues that involve replacing and repairing equipment, including the shipping of equipment to and from LDAC and vendors as needed.
* Provide outside business hours support for local artists, and work with LDAC based on call support staff to escalate and resolve issues as needed.
* Solicit and partner with outside contracting agency which provides regional IT support as needed for pod deployment and peak support times.
