Lead Character Artist

Description

CCP North America is looking for a talented individual to be a part of the creative team working on the groundbreaking MMO title, World of Darkness. This particular opening requires that the candidate be motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and has the ability to work well with a cross-disciplinary group.


The Lead Character Artist will work closely with the Art Director and other Leads from the project and will have a crucial role in establishing and maintaining the visual and technical aspects of the characters and character related assets. They will need to collaborate closely with engineering, design, and the other art disciplines to develop incredible characters and creatures for the World of Darkness.


Major responsibilities include:


# Lead and mentor a character art team on a day to day basis
# Produce high and low poly character related assets for in game use or reference and visual target purposes
# Work closely with the Art Director and the concept art team to ensure consistency between the concept and final 3D assets
# Maintaining the vision and the expected quality level for characters within the game
# Create outsourcing documentation and communicate requirements to outsourcing partners
# Participate proactively in the constant improvement of assets production methods and techniques
