Graphic Designer
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Graphic Designer (GD) works directly with the Art Director, Lead Artist, internal artists and external vendors. The GD is the gatekeeper for all marketing materials of the games that Irrational Games is working on, as well as the studio branding. The GD leads all design/creative production within the Marketing department from initial design to pre-press or interactive use. The GD is responsible for designing all visual assets, supporting the company’s web sites, collaterals, industry shows and all other forms of visual media.

• We expect people to seek out all relevant information on their subject and be able to respond to spontaneous inquiries on that subject.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure the creative vision for Irrational Games’ properties is reflected in all marketing materials.
• Execute the design of packaging and advertising for games on different platforms.
• Design artwork used for advertising, P.O.P. displays, interactive, and the Irrational Games websites.
• Responsible for the creation, production preparation and final production, of industry tradeshow print graphics or promotional materials (i.e. recruitment collateral, sales sheets and show signage)
• Produce and organize various presentation materials (i.e. PowerPoint presentations, display graphics)
• Brainstorm and mock up design ideas
• Present ideas effectively, both verbally and visually, to the company’s Art Director and Creative Director, and work with them to achieve the end product they want.
• Provides input and proofreads all materials
• Work closely with the Producer to project budgets and schedules
• Work with others, such as printers, programmers, developers, agencies, or partners, to complete the final product
• Ensure all assets are labeled and archived correctly and safely, and keep all reference materials, designs, and final materials organized
• Responsible for delivery of all final print files to production vendors for manufacturing of retail product
• Ensure that all final materials meet the required technical specifications, before they are sent out externally
• Modify designs within specifications to reach final production if needed.
• Complete projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
• Contribute to game development team effort as needed.
• Work with Associate Brand Manager to ensure compliance with First Party, Legal and ESRB requirements
• Conduct meetings to promote project collaboration.
• Research and source new print techniques and vendors
• Research current and future trends in interactive software and gaming.
• Research current and future trends in visual communication and design.
