Key Activities:
Lecture and teach in a classroom setting on a daily basis.
Teach fundamentals and advanced techniques in character modeling, texturing, rigging and animation using Max and/or Maya.
Provide technical support for the students for pre-rendered and/or game-specific challenges, restrictions, and shortcuts.
Teach problem solving – students need to constantly strive via research to optimize, fix and enhance an effective animation pipeline. Teach andragogical solutions instead of pedagogical tutorials.
Identifying workflow improvements, providing and directing trouble-shooting efforts for modeling and animation projects.
Work closely with CG and traditional art faculty to develop an ongoing and constantly improving curriculum that reflects industry trends.
Study and maintain an understanding of current trends in game and cinematic animation.
Give creative direction and criticism to students on assignments. This can include character assets, animation and cut scenes during all phases of an animation pipeline.
Act in the capacity of an academic advisor for students.
