Role Summary/Purpose
The Sr. Interaction Designer will be responsible for shaping the end-to-end user experience for healthcare applications. As a senior member of the UX team, you will conceptualize user experiences and interfaces with superior clarity, ease of use, and visual balance. You will partner with Visual Designers and UX Researchers as well as product managers, clinical analysts, developers and other stakeholders throughout all stages of the product lifecycle. Essential Responsibilities
•Demonstrate a thorough understanding of user-centered design and related design methodologies.
•Rapidly prototype and evaluate designs with internal teams and customers including wireframes, low/mid-fidelity interactive mockups and other UX deliverables.
•Mentor members of the Interaction Design team, coaching them to always seek out extremely creative interaction solutions that disrupt the status quo.
•Create and refine use cases, scenarios, paper and interactive prototypes, storyboards, and design specifications for new features.
•Attend meetings, on-site visits, usability testing sessions and phone/video/telepresence interviews to collect user data.
•Contribute to meetings with relevant stakeholders by reporting on issues found in requirements and usability models.
•Digest requirements and process flows and design intuitive user-interfaces that satisfy those requirements and workflows.
•Actively maintain knowledge of user-centered design best practices.
Qualifications/Requirements
• An exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative interaction design
•5+ years of experience as a member of a UX team
•Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, human-computer interaction, interaction design, or related field
•Possess a strong understanding of design fundamentals and user-experience best practices including information architecture, user experience methodologies and usability heuristics.
•Proficient in appropriate software for wireframing and mockup – this includes Axure prototyping software and the Adobe Creative Suite.
Desired Characteristics
•Experience developing solutions for touch-screen and mobile devices
•Experience in a large-scale, user-centered web or software design environment
