Regent University’s School of Undergraduate Studies seeks candidates for a full-time tenure-track, assistant professor position in Animation. Qualified applicants must have an earned Ph.D. or M.F.A. in animation, communication or computer graphics.
Strong drawing and traditional art skills and a strong foundation in 2D computer based animation using Toon Boom and/or Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere software is expected. Understanding of the power of story as it relates to animation is a must. Professional experience in the field of art and animation and 3-D experience in Maya are considered a plus.
Expectations include a dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning, a record of or potential for scholarship, the ability to teach undergraduate level classes, and experience with online instructional technology. Appointment may begin August 2011. The closing date for this position is January 6, 2011.
