Studio Overview:

Game Mechanic Studios, LLC is a young game development company located in Tarzana, Ca. We have been around since 2008, with the goal of making great games with great people. We have some of the best artists, designers, and programmers in the game industry.
We want to work with teams of people that inspire us, and in turn we can inspire them by working together to create amazing games!
Our studio develops action games that are highly character driven, each character with their own unique personalities.

Lead Animator
We are looking for a Lead Animator that is ready to take that next step on a title that is unique and original. The animator should be very familiar with titles like God Of War and able to create animations that will evoke an attitude, tell the story behind the character, and understand that Gamplay is king at the end of the day.

Responsibilities:
• Artistic ownership in conjunction with the Art Director and design team for all character animation related features.
• Provide inspiration to the character team via reference, research, and animation.
• Technical Skills for Character / Rigging / Animation.
• Constantly strive via research to optimize and enhance an effective animation pipeline.
• Identifying work flow improvements, providing and directing trouble-shooting efforts for the animation team.
• Liaise closely with Programming teams to develop pipelines including blend tree systems and optimal rigs.
• Give creative direction and criticism where needed for all in-game character assets, animation, and cut scenes.
• Responsible for any and all cinematics.
• Document tools, work flow, and asset guidelines.
• Positive, solution-oriented with a passion for making the highest quality games.
• Use a variety of 2D and 3D software packages, including Photo-shop, Maya, Max, as well as the Unreal Engine.
• Deliver assets on schedule and within technical specifications
