Screenwriting Professor
Description
We seek a talented and experienced screenwriter interested in educating filmmakers/animators. The candidate should demonstrate substantial aptitude in all forms of writing, particularly feature and short film screenwriting. Courses will involve teaching undergraduate and graduate students the techniques of writing short and feature length screenplays, as well as courses in dramatic structure and film aesthetics. Additional experience in any of the following areas is desirable: film production, editing, acting, directing, film history, creative writing, media writing, television writing and production, documentary production, animation. In addition to a full teaching load, responsibilities include advising students, assisting in curriculum development, participating in research, scholarship and creative activity, and providing service to the institute, college, and department.
