Graphics Software Senior Engineer

Position Summary:
Exciting career opportunity that provides a technical leadership role in the AutoCAD Engineering team that involves the design and implementation of next generation 3D graphics system for AutoCAD and AutoCAD Platform products.

Role:
As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be working on new product development and be on the forefront of advancing graphics design for large scale commercial CAD applications. In this role you will work thru all facets of software development: design, prototype, implementation, testing and documentation. In addition you will provide technical leadership / strategic direction on complex projects, lead or guide the work of other software developers, and participate in all phases of application design & development.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, prototype, implement, test and troubleshoot source code of product features
- Create high level software design (HLSD) documents and outline software solutions, architecture and relationship between sub-systems
- Participate in design / code reviews and eliminate implementation problems early in the development cycle
- Collaborate with other software developers worldwide
- Work both independently and as an integral member of a high performance team
- Prepare accurate implementation task lists / time estimates and deliver assignments as per functional specifications, quality standards and project schedules
- Provide technical leadership to multiple implementation teams and guide projects to succeed
- Incorporate latest technologies and build new software infrastructures for enabling future product features
- Work with Product Design and deliver solutions that are innovative, functional and meet customer requirements.
- Work closely with Quality Engineers in unit level testing and problem resolution
- Provide input to Technical Publications and review documentation of key features
