Game Art & Design Instructor
Description
We need experienced creative professionals to teach the next generation of artists and designers! Specifically, we are looking for qualified professionals who can teach the following areas:
Level Design. Instructors are expected to teach students to analyze game-play needs of the overall game project and create specific level designs accordingly. In addition to minimum academic qualifications and industry experience described below, qualified candidates must be able to teach students the process of level design and creation, have industry experience in using game engines such as Unreal Tournament and/or Unity 3D, and be able to model environments in Maya.
Motion Capture. In addition to minimum academic qualifications and industry experience described below, qualified candidates must have industry experience using and manipulating motion capture data (.bvh) between 3D applications and Motion Builder.
Game Development. In addition to minimum academic qualifications and industry experience described below, qualified candidates must be able to lead students in the development of a games using game engines such as Unreal Tournament and Unity 3D.
3D Scripting. Instructors are expected to teach students scripting which allows the animator to automate tedious tasks and create effects that would be otherwise time-consuming in the traditional 3D keyframe methodology. This course introduces students to scripting in a 3D package, e.g. Maya using MEL (Maya Embedded Language). In addition to minimum academic qualifications and industry experience described below, qualified candidates must know 3D scripting in Maya/Maya Embedded Language (MEL) and Unreal. Candidates who also have industry experience in Unity are preferred.
