This person must have art direction experience with an emphasis on photo or photo-real imagery. Qualified candidates will have a strong portfolio showcasing pieces they were directly responsible for art directing or overseeing in a Creative Supervisor capacity. Their portfolio and experience should include print advertising, interactive animated advertising, and broadcast commercials. This person will be overseeing the creative aspect of photo shoots, retouching, and computer generated imagery. A basic understanding of the technology in these areas will be needed so the candidate must have a base to build upon.
The Creative Supervisor will work with clients and account representatives. Our client base varies greatly in their need for our creative guidance. On one end we will have corporate clients who have no official creatives on staff and will rely heavily on our CD to understand their creative brief and be able to offer options in achieving their messaging through the imagery. The other extreme would be an agency that is giving clear and full creative direction and relying on our CD to make sure it is executed accordingly. Being able to shift gears in this regard is crucial.
