Lead Environment Artist

Description

Crystal Dynamics is looking for a passionate and talented Lead Environment Artist. This person will lead our art team, and participate as a hands on artist.

The Lead Environment Artist is responsible for the day to day running of the environment art team and ensuring that the individuals within the group are meeting the goals set by the Art Director and Project Producer.

Title Description

The ideal candidate should have achieved an excellence in environment modeling, texturing, and lighting, and have a thorough understanding of the complexities of environment creation with regards to efficient art production, design and gameplay considerations, and technology constraints and limitations.

The position requires mentorship of other artists within the team, motivation, goal setting and task tracking for the environment group and the maintenance in the development of the art pipeline and tools as well as a thorough understanding of the artistic style of the product and aesthetic direction set by the Art Director.

This position serves as a conduit to design and art on the team, and the individual should be highly collaborative, passionate, and have a strong ability to motivate others around them.
