Position Objectives
•Appointed to a two-to-three-year term, the Director of Digital Media Research will develop and maintain an effective program of applied research in the field of Digital Media to contribute to the programming needs of the Film and Media Department.
Responsibilities
•Securing external research funding.
•Developing and nurturing external partnerships.
•Overseeing the research infrastructure in the area of digital media research.
•Engaging a wide variety of partners, including practicing artists, university researchers, or colleagues from the creative industries in collaborative projects, such as dedicated research programs, co-productions, as well as workshops, conferences, and summits.
•Providing oversight to several existing labs (including the CFI-funded collaboration and visualization labs).
•Articulating the vision for future research infrastructure and programs.
