Description

The Art Institute of California - San Francisco is seeking and Academic Director for its Media Arts and Animation program.

The Academic Director is the principal academic officer for a specific program(s). Responsibilities include: day-to-day operations, assisting the students’ progress toward successful program completion and classroom staffing with instructors who support the school's mission. The AD is co-responsible with the Dean of Academic Affairs for the fiscal well being of the department as it relates to education. The director should also participate in activities that help to market the school to prospective students, and in activities that promote the goodwill of the department and the school.

2. Plan, coordinate and deliver faculty development programs to new and continuing faculty.
3. Faculty and staff team members selected, trained, and developed.
4. Prior to the beginning of a fiscal year, to be able to budget personnel needs, program expenses and capital needs.
5. Develop and carry out appropriate Academic Enhancement Programs designed to foster continuing student success.
6. To support all DOE and support services programs managed to promote improvement in student persistence.
7. To manage student/faculty relations.
8. To provide support to all school and community relations activities.
9. To keep current on industry trends.
