Creative Director
Description
The Creative Director, responsible for leading Corgan MediaLab’s creative services, which span commercial broadcast, architectural rendering, and web content, will present and execute creative solutions utilizing an artistic toolbox ranging from traditional hand drawing skills to 2D and 3D motion design and animation.
The CD manages the studio’s creative teams and the studio’s creative vision requiring strong creative vision, communication and time management skills, and leadership abilities. This position requires experience with conceptualization, visualization, visual storytelling, client communication, and research and development of cutting edge tools and technology. The CD is a hands-on position working closely in the production process with Producers, clients, Art Directors, and other artist team members. Design experience, brand development, knowledge of the commercial production process, and creative development are all key areas of experience.
Essential Functions
- Work with Producers and in client meetings to set overall scope, schedule, and budget of job
- Provide creative direction by supplying reference material relevant to the scope of each job
- Lead and motivate Art Directors and production artists to understand creative goals and deadlines associated with projects
- Must be able to balance deadlines and resources against the creative demands outlined by the job scope and the quality standards and objectives of the studio
- Review submitted work and provide mark ups for production artists and or clients
- Understand CAD documents and construction documents
- Ability to supervise and train employees in the art department to include: organizing, prioritizing, scheduling work assignments, time management, and quality control
- Work with management to assess pipeline / production process
- Attend industry events, workshops, conferences and participate in online forums to stay current on industry trends and increase business development
