Digital Domain Holdings is the parent company of California-based Digital Domain, an Academy Award winning digital production studio focused on visual effects for feature film and advertising production. In 2009 Digital Domain Holdings received incentive Grants from the state of Florida and the city of Port St. Lucie to support the creation of a large-scale digital production studio, which will focus on animated feature films, military simulations, visual effects and games.

A Sr. Systems Engineer designs, develops and implements hardware and software tools and programs to achieve desired functionality for the organization's production and editing systems. Develops specifications for systems functionality such as data storage and transfer or 3D image processing. Develops utilities for systems administrators and users of the system to manage system load, organize systems processes and achieve desired visual effects. Develops object filing protocols. Maintains documentation. Accountable for contributing to the design, functionality and performance of the production and editing systems. Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur. Able to develop and enhance any aspect of the production and editing systems. Typically uses C++, Python, Mel, Perl, PHP, AppleScript and Linux programming and scripting languages.
