We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Development S/W Engineer, Web Development to join the team at our Burbank, CA studio.

Do you have it all? Can you whip up a website with (X)HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that looks as good as anything out there? Have you used Pylons, Ruby on Rails, and Django and can tell us which is the best for our internal applications and why? Can you work in Adobe CS Elements, hack a few Photoshop files, and provide our sites with a look that says Disney Animation? If you can do that and more, we may have a job for you.

Walt Disney Animation Studios manages literally terabytes of image, movie, and audio clips. We need to look at the information in movie-continuity order, we need to look at it in color-continuity order, we need to look at it in historical-version order. We need to look at it in more ways than we can count. We have other web applications for managing production staffing, task scheduling, and conflicts. We have a lot of varied web experience and we're looking for the individual who can tie all that experience together in a cohesive all.

What You Will Be Doing:

* Working with artists, production management, and finance staff to understand workflows and how to process all the information we have on tap
* Using your IxD and communication skills to effectively mock up solutions to the problems at hand
* Working with a variety of databases and applications to develop mash-ups of the information contained in them
* Working with other engineers and designers to develop our web standards and act as a mentor
