Position Summary
DisneyToon Studios is seeking an Animation Lead to create, support and advise on animation, pre-production through final delivery. This position reports to the Digital Production Manager.

Responsibilities
•Work closely with the Director to establish the animation style of the film.
•Work with the Associate Producer and other Digital Department Leads to ensure the animation style can be produced within the budget and schedule parameters.
•Work with various Digital Department Leads to arrive at technical solutions required to achieve the artistic style of animation.
•Help define and design the animation facial system approach.
•Design a training program for getting a subcontractor up to speed on the animation style.
•Works with the Producer to cast, issue and manage shots through the in-house animation department.
•Liaison between DisneyToon Studios and subcontracting studio.
•Reviews and approves all shots coming out of the animation department.
•Attends all dailies sessions.
•Advises and supports the animators in achieving the desired style and meet milestones.
•Responsible to help maintain continuity, consistency and watch for technical issues within specific franchises.
•Identify and troubleshoot lip sync and mouth shapes problems.
•Demonstrate animation techniques and motivate animators – both in-house and at the subcontracting studio.
