Production Manager

Description

The Production Manager (PM) will manage the artists and production personnel from pre-production through post production on the upcoming Lucasfilm Animation feature.

Primary Responsibilities

• Working closely with the Producer and Associate Producer, the PM is responsible for the day to day running of the feature, managing established schedules and budgets, through production planning, coordination and troubleshooting.

• Directly supervises Assistant Production Managers, and various coordinators, production assistants and other production personnel.

• Works closely with Associate Producer to assign appropriate manpower and workspace, and create schedules to ensure completion of production on time and on budget, balancing artistic and productivity requirements.

• Develops and uses planning systems and ‘work in process’ tracking daily.

• Actively participates in the recruiting and staffing of the production team - assesses the work of prospective candidates for the hiring process and participates in hiring decisions.
• Partners with Associate Producer to guide production personnel’s overall professional development, providing performance feedback, mentoring, resolving performance management issues and maintaining positive morale amongst the crew.
• Attend all relevant meetings to promote effective communication throughout the production team.
