Education and Experience Requirements:

 

Bachelor's Degree Computer Animation, Game Design, Computer Science, Industrial Design or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
6 years experience with 3D Rendering to include experience color correcting images to accurately represent real-world lighting and materials is required.


Position Purpose:
Creates to scale, state-of-the-art, highly-detailed, computer-generated 3D models and finished renderings/animations of existing and conceptual aircraft design and interior design. Provides an advanced level of technical expertise in 3D modeling, lighting, texturing, and rendering and can work from handwritten instructions, sketches and engineering drawings utilizing advanced visualization software, techniques and methodology. Functional project direction is received from Interior Designers, Engineers, and Sales Support. Incumbent develops 3D models and photorealistic renderings of aircraft interiors, exteriors, sections, parts and equipment as directed for Completions or Concept. The target audiences are customers, potential customers, vendors, as well as internal Marketing, Design, and Engineering departments.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: 1. Provide Interior and Exterior Rendering packages in accordance with the Interior Design and Sales objective. 2. Participate in formal Sales/Design Presentations with Sales Executive and Interior Designer. 3. Interface with Marketing, Design, and Engineering for input and to ensure accuracy of renderings. 4. Ensure the effective application of GACs 3D rendering systems and procedures are applicable to the functional areas of responsibility by providing direction and support to management for the implementation, maintenance and selection of 3D rendering related hardware/software. 5. Provide an advanced level of expertise in the 3D Software. Provide effective problem-solving and diagnostic skills to resolve software and hardware problems in a timely manner. 6. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of changes to rendering and engineering technology to make recommendations for improved efficiencies. 7. Partner with IT to establish and maintain network connectivity between the PC system and GACs other networks. Support multi-platform communications and file compatibility. 8. Organize and continually update drawing files as well as coordinate archiving drawing files for permanent records. 

Additional Functions: 1. Promote efficient work practices and processes. 2. Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements: 2. Three-dimensional computer modeling and rendering skills are required. 3. Completely proficient with PC & Mac operating systems as well as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop required. 4. Must have good color perception and can make adjustments to renderings to match actual materials in final, large-format printer output. 5. Experience with Studio Tools, AutoCAD, or Catia is a plus. 6. Ability to meet project deadlines.
